Retirement Calculator
Estimate your retirement corpus based on current savings, monthly contributions and expected return. Optionally enter desired monthly pension to see how long your corpus may last.
How the retirement calculator works
The calculator combines two parts:
- Current savings: Grows at your expected annual return until retirement. FV = P × (1 + r)n
- Monthly contributions: Treated like a SIP; each contribution compounds until retirement using the future value of annuity formula.
Total corpus = Future value of savings + Future value of contributions. If you enter a monthly pension, the calculator simulates fixed withdrawals until the corpus is depleted (no growth during drawdown).
Planning for retirement
A retirement calculator helps you see how current savings and regular contributions can grow over time. The sooner you start and the more you invest, the larger your potential corpus. Use realistic return assumptions and remember that results are projections, not guarantees. Inflation, taxes and fees will affect actual outcomes.
Consider using the SIP calculator for contribution-only projections, and the compound interest calculator for lumpsum growth. All tools run in your browser with no data stored.
