Child Growth Percentile Calculator – Height, Weight & BMI
Estimate your child's height, weight and BMI percentiles from age, measurements and gender. Compare to typical growth patterns. For reference only; discuss with a pediatrician.
Child Growth Percentile Calculator
Estimate height, weight and BMI percentiles for children (0–19 years). Approximate; consult a pediatrician.
How the child growth percentile calculator works
Uses simplified growth curves and z-scores to estimate percentiles. Height, weight and BMI are compared to age- and gender-specific norms. Results are approximations; official WHO/CDC charts are the clinical standard.
Understanding growth percentiles and when to use this calculator
Growth percentiles help parents and doctors see how a child's height, weight and BMI compare to peers. The 50th percentile is the median—half of children are above, half below. A child at the 75th percentile for height is taller than 75% of children the same age and gender. Percentiles are not grades; there is no "best" percentile. What matters is consistency over time and that growth follows a curve appropriate for the child.
This calculator uses simplified growth curves to estimate percentiles. It is intended for general reference and curiosity. For clinical assessment, pediatricians use official WHO (under 2) or CDC (2–19) growth charts. Those charts are based on large population data and are the standard for identifying growth concerns.
Enter your child's age in months, height in cm, weight in kg and gender. The calculator returns estimated height, weight and BMI percentiles. If results seem unusual or you have concerns about growth, discuss with your child's doctor. Use our age in months calculator to convert birth date to months if needed.
