How business days are counted
The calculator iterates from the start date to the end date, counting each day whose weekday is not Saturday (6) or Sunday (0). Both start and end dates are included if they are weekdays. Only weekends are excluded; holidays are not considered.
When and why to use a business days calculator
In business and project management, "days" often means business days—weekdays only. SLAs (service level agreements), shipping estimates, and project timelines typically exclude weekends. A business days calculator counts only Monday through Friday between two dates, giving you the number of working days.
Use it when estimating delivery times ("5 business days"), planning project milestones, or calculating SLA response times. Note: this calculator does not exclude holidays.
